Сравнивают теорию эволюции (точнее, современный извод дарвинизма) и теорию наследственнности интеллекта
Первое - несравненно менее подтверждено данными опыта, чем второе, однако первое - преподается повсюду, а второе - практически нигда, то есть, замалчивается
Across the nation, what percentage of public high school biology students are taught about evolution - 95%? 99%? 100%? I would not at all be shocked if the answer was 100%, and very shocked if it was less than 95%. This in spite of the fact that those 'crazy, anti-science rightwingers' are now in charge of a large fraction of this country's boards of education.
Across the nation, what percentage of public high school biology/psychology students are taught the scientific consensus that intelligence is highly heritable, is largely immune to environmental influences (like "racism"), varies considerably between ethnic groups, and that it varies more narrowly in women than men - meaning that there are more men with both extremely high IQs and with extremely low IQs? Probably not even 10%, and I would not be shocked if the answer was 0%. There are probably more students being taught that plastic sandwich bags are evil than are taught about race and IQ.

The Left is equally as capable of denying science as the right. It is far more vicious vilifying those with whom it disagrees. Most important, the denial of heritability of intelligence has far greater consequences for economics, public policy and individual rights than the failure to teach evolution ever would. There are hundreds if not thousands of government regulations stemming from the mythical belief that non-equality of outcomes is de facto proof of discrimination.

FDNY has just been forced to spend $3 million on a new firefighter "test" that will be forced to find more qualified black firefighters. And not least of all, the assumption that lower rates of homeownership by members of some races is an injustice led to the debased lending standards that helped cause the current economic collapse.
